My pick for the Iowa Caucus is Rick Santorum. He understands the values of America and the values that need to be adhered to. He stated "without strong families, we cannot have a strong and vibrant nation." That is one of the truest statements I've ever heard. One that needs to be pushed on America. I believe that before we create laws we need to come together as a nation. I know that if Rick Santorum is chosen he will follow through with those values first. Something that really stands out about him to me is his speaking up about our need for an understanding of other countries. He understands that as a nation we need to be multicultural and aware of our outside surroundings. That everything and anything can have an affect on us at any time. He represents a better America, something that some people may not understand or agree with. I believe that he wants to become one as a nation; a family. Most importantly he wants to build friendships with outside countries.
The values he has and the issues he stands for are amazing. He's a better pick than Obama ever was. Rick Santorum represents hope, a new nation, freedom, and reliability. Something that many believe we haven't had these last years that Obama was in office. His ideas are solid; he knows what he wants.
One of the steps I agree completely with is that the children of America need to know of their history's past and future. So that as he said, "we can stand for our own nation." He has the ability to turn America around, into the right direction.
He believes in hope and the matter of change. He believes in a standing point for America. A strong standing point; one that cannot be broken down. His understanding of our needs is what I believe will get him this win tonight. He is the ultimate win!

The Iowa Caucus
Before the caucus came on, I chose who my nominee would choose to run for the president election. I chose Ex Governor Mitt Romney. Before the voting started, Fox News showed entrance polls of the caucus. The polls showed that the top three Possibilities were: Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney. What I see in Mitt Romney is: he is a good businessman he knows how to make jobs, He was the Massachusetts state governor so he knows how a state and federal government work. The biggest issue that faces Mitt Romney along with the other nominees is the unemployment rate of the nation. How Romney would go about to fix the unemployment is set as generic “straight to the point” plan just like most of the nominees in the race. Also with Romney approach toward debates and topics is easy and laid back. Romney acts as he’s” going to be president” and has that motivation to build America back to what the fore fathers wanted the country to be. With the ending o f the caucus the top three leaders were: Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum. Romney “edged” Santorum by eight votes says Fox News. When I saw that I was happy that he got the victory in Iowa. This shows the other states that he has the potential to have the presidential nominee vote set. So with the Iowa success I can great things come from the Ex Governor.

My name is korey curry and im doing my favorite person In the 2012 election on newt gingrich and he was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on June 17, 1943, as Newton Leroy McPherson. On March 3, 2011, Gingrich officially announced a website entitled "Newt Exploratory 2012" in a formal committee for exploration of a potential presidential run. On May 11, 2011, Gingrich officially announced his intention to seek the GOP nomination in 2012. Newt Gingrich has been married three times. In 1962, he was married to Jackie Battley, (his old high school geometry teacher, when he was 19 years old and she was 26.). Gingrich has written about his interest in animals. His first engagement in civic affairs was speaking to the city council in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, about why the city should establish its own zoo. Newt Gingrich priming for another run in 1978, Flynt decided not to run for re-election and retired. Gingrich defeated Democratic State Senator Virginia Shapard by almost 9 points. Newt Gingrich pursued his higher education, receiving his masters in 1968 and a Ph.D. in modern European history from Tulane University in 1971. While he was in New Orleans, Newt Gingrich developed an interest in religion, and was baptized in a Baptist church. Gingrich worked early on in academia, as an assistant professor of history and geography at West Georgia College. After reading about all of the canadates for the 2012 presidential election, I have come to the conclusion that I firmly support Rick Santorum. His views on protecting the 2nd amendment rights and the health care and spending cuts are pretty straight forward. His plan to get rid of Obama Care and replace it with a plan that lets the citizens controll there health care is smart. Health care should be affordable to all americans, not just welthy and middle class. It should not be a government run program where we as americans don't get a say in the matter. He deffends the second amendment by protecting it from people who think that gun makers should be held accountable for crimes that involve firearms.

If I were to support another canadate, it would have to be Ron paul. He shares similar views about the 2nd amendment and He wants to secure our borders. His plan is to stop illegal immagration for good. Why are we fighting a war over seas if we can't even secure our borders? I support his anti-labor union attitude as well. We should have the right to choose whether or not we want to join a labor union. We should not be force to.

I have never supported Obama, and is ability to put america in further dept. Its our generation that will have to pay all of that off. Over all, I still support Rick Santorum and his political values. This is my view on dwho should be president, I don't even like polotics.

If I was old enough to vote I would have to pick Michelle Bachmann, who is the first woman to ever be elected into the US House of Representatives. After reading some articles about her I have found that we agree on a lot of topics. For example she believes that the government’s debt is not just the fault of the people but that the government has a bigger role in creating our 14 trillion dollar debt. She also believes in getting rid of the Obama healthcare plan because it is not helping the United States get out of its debt. One of the biggest things I like about her views is that she is against taxpayer funded bailouts, such as Wall Street. It is not the government’s right to use our tax dollars, which are meant to be used for fixing our roads or helping out our national education department, on bailouts. She will also put a stop to congress’ continued raising of the debt ceiling unless serious spending costs are cut. She will fight to create jobs and lift the restraints on American energy security. She will try to increase access to the millions of barrels of oil and billions of feet of natural gas on the Outer Continental Shelf. She build ties between the United States and other competitive countries such as China, Russia, and Great Britan.

For my candidate I chose Mitt Romney because his political beliefs are really good. During the 2012 Iowa Caucus he mentioned about abortion. He claims that he is "pro-life" which he beliefs that abortion should be illegal unless the woman was raped, incest, or when it is threatening the life of the mother.

Also he mentioned about Guns. He claimed that there is no problem with arms but he did mention that purchasing assault weapons will become illegal for the safety of others. He also says that he agrees with the "Don't ask Don't Tell" policy because he thinks that there are more issues that need to be dealt with and also it would be very bad on military services especially during the war. Those are his positive topics from his speech.

Now the negative part of his speech is that Romney said that Congress and the Federal Reserve should not consider plans to bail out Italy in the event of a full-fledged European sovereign debt crisis. Also that Romney has opposed ratification of New START, a bi-lateral nuclear arms reduction treaty between the United States and the Russian Federation, in part because he wishes to deploy defensive missiles on submarines. By allowing this Russia can continue making nuclear weapons especially an M.O.A.B or a Nuclear War Head. With the ability of making nuclear missiles this can threaten the safety of America and other countries.

But there are a lot more topics that are the most reasonable topics that i agree and disagree but I personally think that Mitt Romney will be a very competitive.

Also i support Obama.

I think that Ron Paul should have won because; he wants to stay out of wars mainly get the soldiers out of Afghanistan and that has most of the military going for him. He doesn’t want to reduce just those wars, he wants to reduce drug wars as well and get rid of all laws against drugs. He wants to do this because he served as a solider too in the Air Force but, I think his national organization, amazing fundraising skills, and his passion for his volunteers and supporters is another reason. I also think he had a slight advantage over some of the others because has he been able to observe the mistakes of the other candidates in the past and can successfully avoid those same mistakes that had hurt their campaign. And to add on to that he is very appealing to the young people (including myself), he tries to stick to the constitution; he wants to lower taxes and, try not to spend too much money on things that cost way too much such as Obama’s healthcare law. The best part I think is that he is not doing this for himself, but to fix the government because he believes that we should stick to constitution as the founding fathers did and do it the old way.

If I had to vote for one of the running presidential canidates, it would be Mrs. Michele Bachmann. One reason why I would vote for Michele, would be because she is a big believer in tax reform, which is a major problem in our country right now. If she was successful in allowing tax reform to be in place, then that would settle one of our big issues in our country. Another reason why I would vote for Michele, is because she would fight to limit the amount of people running our government, which I support because that will cease alot of conflict and confusion as far as making decisions on the behalf of our american society. With alot of people running our government, it has always caused alot of drama on deciding what is "best" to do in tight situations and debates. Michele seems like a woman who knows what to do to get our life as americans back on track. I feel like she would make a big impact on making a living much easier for us. She also sounds like she is a big believer in making sure our security system in america is very affective and proficient, which is also another good reason why I would vote for her.

After and extensive search I’ve chosen Ron Paul. I chose Ron Paul because he believes that the government shouldn’t tell us how to live and work which means if we fall on our face the government isn’t gunna waste money to help you up their gunna say tough break basically. Also he thinks we should keep US business to the US like what we are doing in Israel basically being Team America World Police by funding them and there not even giving nothing back so we should definitely keep our business to our self’s. More to add on is he thinks we should stop spending money in other country’s and help ours first if elected president he said he will cut 1 trillion dollars in spending if this doesn’t help the dept. then i don’t know what will. But mainly what most Republicans and Conservatives is to make a smaller government and to end Obama-Care which means our parents money isn’t wasted and Tax will go down so now getting my point which mainly means Ron Paul wants to cut taxes and wants to try to cut the national dept. by a trillion in his first year. I really do think Ron Paul is a good candidate for the office because it will save us money by a long shot and help by now babying America by people paying for healthcare and having tax payers money go to welfare ya if I was paying taxes I would not want to waste my money cause someone can’t provide for themselves I know I kind of sound like a douche bag by saying this but it’s the truth. So overall I think Ron Paul is my choice of the Candidate.

Parks,

My canidate that I chose was Rick Santorum because he believes that having a strong economy is good to have a strong family. Some qualities I like about him are: is that he wants America to have faith, family and freedom. Also, that he will cut down income taxes. He wants to make our national security and defense stronger. Rick Santorum has been a good leader because he has fought for his conservative ideas and understands the greatness of our country and will be willing to fight for our greatness. He knows that families are important in our society, he has fought for and passed important legislation, such as foreign policy, welfare reform and pro-life issues. He perfectly understands childern and how they need significance in this country because he has raised seven childern of his own. I like how Rick Santorum is a great leader and knows a lot, and that he is also a lawyer and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. senator. Some major platforms that Rick Santorum is representing are: Pro-life, that supported the "Born Alive Infant Protection Act" and the "Unforn Victims of Violence Act." Other things I like about Rick Santorum is that he will fight the the rights of the importance of preserving our constitutionally protected rights, found in the second Amendment. Some response to Iran that Santorum has are: refuse to negotiate on any level with the terrorist state of Iran. Eliminate the post of U.S. Ambassador to Syria. Since President Obama wasn't a canidate on the Iowa Caucus, I still support him.

I chose candidate Dr Ron Paul, because if he becomes president he will rebuild America and everything with it, like the government, and the lowering of the taxes for us people, Ron Paul is the only candidate who doesn't just talk about balancing the budget in America, but who has a full plan to get it done.

spending money, Ron Paul says he will cut 1 trillion dollars in spending by his first year in presidency,he will eliminate the spending of energy,HUD,commerce, interior, and education, he also would like to stop foreign aid with other country's and worry about saving money in the U.S, i agree with this we are already in debt really bad, he says we should also keep away from foreign wars if not have to join into the war, so we wouldn't spend so much money on supplying for the war.

TAXES, Ron Paul also plans on lowering the tax rate to 15% to make American people competitive in the global market

Rebuilding America
I would vote Ron Paul, because he really cares about the U.S and how the people feel, he wants the best for the American people, he just doesn't care about himself and the gov't.

The reason i would vote for Ron Paul but not any other person is because he gives the best opportunities to the American people than any other person that is running.

Things he should add.
if i was him i would include more ideas to help the gov't save money and our country to save money.

The candidate that I would choose or pick as the next president of the United States is, Mitt Romney. He is smart and sophisticated and seems to have a good plan and a good mind set for our America. He seems to stick out to me the most mainly because of his values and the other candidates, they don’t really interest me. The main thing that sticks out about him is that I think as a smart and positive thing for Amererica and everyone in it, is that he thinks that abortions are wrong except in the cases including of incest and rape and also to save the life of the unborn child.
I like that because lots of people turn towards abortions to solve their problems, especially those of a young age. They look at abortions as a way out when they had many things that they could have done to prevent it from happening. And that I think is a good thing.
Also a major thing that I like about him is about his outlook and plans for education. The “no child left behind” quote. Also about his tax plans or suggestions.
Now on a different note, I don’t not like that he is against same sex marriage. I think that if people want to date or marry the same sex, it’s their life and they should be able to do as they please like everyone else. Now I also disagree with his planes for our health care I think it is careless.

On Tuesday January 3, most United States Citizens tuned in to watch the Iowa Caucuses. Many have their own opinions about their favorite candidates, but I believe that Ron Paul is the best candidate.
Ron Paul is top tier in a close race with two other candidates, including Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum. He came in third in the caucuses with 21.4% of the votes. Congressman Ron Paul born in Pittsburg Pennsylvania graduated from Gettysburg College and Duke University of medicine. Later in the in 1960’s Ron Paul honorably joined the US air force as a flight surgeon. He then moved to Texas with his wife in 1968 to begin practice as an obstetrics/ gynecology. As an experienced doctor Ron Paul’s views on health care, is to set example for other countries to follow where US citizens save money on medical expenses and institute reforms to improve the health care systems. He would work with congress to guarantee the money taken from tax payers for health care would strictly be used only for the matter and not for any other purposes. He would make any US citizen eligible for HAS’s in other words health savings accounts. Ron Paul worked hard to gain respect from his patients and would do the same for the US health care system if elected for president. Many US citizens are aware of the current economic crisis, whether it is increasing gas prices, or trillion dollar budget deficits. Although Ron Paul is a great candidate, I still firmly believe Barack H. Obama is the best choice for Presidency.

Last night, January 3, 2012, the Iowa Caucuses was held. Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum, were voted in the top tier. The Republican candidates left in the bottom, were Rick Perry, Michelle Bachman, Newt Gingrich, and John Huntsman. Overall, Mitt Romney won Iowa’s votes by eight votes, being neck and neck with Rick Santorum. The best Republican Candidate that I think was the better choice is Mitt Romney.
Mitt Romney was born March 12, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of a Michigan Governor, as if destined to be a part of a political lifestyle like his father; he was elected governor of Massachusetts in 2003 and made a run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. Previously defeated by John McCain, Romney strives to be the Republican candidate who gets his shot to run against President Obama this second time around.
Some of the things that have caught my attention about Mitt Romney are, he is for a small government and low spending. He opposes legalization of recreational or medical marijuana. He believes humans are the reason for global warming, and something should be done. He also agrees with Bush, with “no child left behind.” He strongly believes that abortions should be outlawed and abstinence should be taught to prevent unwanted pregnancy. He strictly believes in a strong Economy, strong family, and strong people, devoting himself to make America the strongest nation on earth.
In conclusion, although Romney has good political views, I believe Barack H. Obama is the better candidate for presidency, and will definitely have my vote.

It is my opinion that Ron Paul is the best candidate for presidency. Although his followers are small in numbers, they continue to grow due to his dedication to the American people. I feel that his platform is the right one due to the fact that he would lead the way back to a true American way of life. He wants to downsize the Federal Government to the original size that our Founding Fathers truly wanted. By doing this, it would grant us more rights and freedoms, once again bringing the true American way of life to light. He would also attempt to close down all foreign military bases due to the high cost of keeping them operational. By doing this, he believes it would bring trillions of dollars back into our nation’s economy. The boost of money from closing military installations would quickly raise us out of our national debt and make our way of living a lot more relaxed and less stressful. A controversial side of Ron Paul’s platform is his view on the “War on Drugs.” He stated that he would end the “War on Drugs” saving the tax payers billions of dollars, which once again would go into our economy to help it significantly. What I have talked about are just a few things Ron Paul stands for in his campaign for presidency. He obviously cares about our individual rights, limiting government power, our military, and getting out of our debt to foreign countries that our current president continues to get us in. Through just these platforms, I think Ron Paul is, by far, the best candidate out of his other 6 competitors.

In my eyes I feel like Ron Paul should have won the Iowa Caucus, as opposed to Mitt Romney who won it. The reason that I feel that Ron Paul should have won is because he wants to downsize the government, making the government smaller which is what the founding fathers originally wanted for the United States. Not only would that but, Ron Paul like to stop the war on drugs. Personally it does not apply to me but it is good that he wants to stop the war on drugs because it wastes the money that the tax payers are paying. The reason that it is wasting the money is because it is trying to stop the distribution of illegal narcotics, when it is near impossible to stop all distribution of narcotics. There are two things that I don’t like about Ron Paul. One of them being that he doesn’t support abortion. The only reason that I care about this is what if someone who is as young as sixteen years old has a baby. This now means that they have to take care of a baby, and most kids aren’t able to support a baby as a teenager, meaning that it could essentially ruin that teenager’s life. The other thing that I don’t like about Ron Paul is that he doesn’t have much of a foreign policy. The qualities that I feel make Ron Paul a competent leader is the fact that he only wants to lead the country while following the constitution, as opposed to many presidents that have served in the past. In conclusion I feel that Ron Paul is so far the best candidate that I have seen running for president.

This cadet Matthew Latham,

I think that Ron Paul should have won because he has a history of both political positions and a medical history. He has represented Texas’ 14th congressional district. He is also the chairman of Foreign affairs. He has served in congress for three different terms. He knows about or economy and he knows what to do so that he can fix it.

He graduated from Duke University where he got his medical degree. He also served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force. While he was running for president and serving his term in congress from 1978-1982 he continued to deliver babies on Mondays and Saturdays. I think that he would be a good president because he knows a lot about health care and he will know how to manage it with the countries money. He will let everyone have a chance with healthcare and if they don’t want or need it then that will be their problem then.

I also think that he would be a great president because he has been in politics since 1971 and I think that he will be experienced with our country and know how to run it better that the past presidents. He has run for presidency twice in his career and although he didn’t win he came pretty close to being the president. I think that this year he has a very good chance for winning against all of the younger candidates. He has more experience with our economy because he has been around longer than other people and has seen how the economy has changed and I think that he could turn our economy around within his presidency if he were to win.

Paul is so dedicated in running in this election that he asked the congress if he had to serve another term in congress and they told him no because he needs to focus on his campaign more. He is planning to cut back on the military which I think is a good thing and a bad thing. It is bad because he is taking away some peoples jobs. But it is a good thing because maybe the military will be more selective in choosing smarter and more civilians that know about the military and have been training for a long time in JROTC and ROTC programs. I personally think that it could be a great thing because a lot of families will get their loved ones back for a while.

I think that Ron Paul could really change our country. With his medical skills and his experience in politics, he could really turn this country around and start to move this country to being number one like it used to be a long time ago before we started going into debt and having to pay countries billions and trillions of dollars. He may even get us positive in our debt rather than negative. But we can only find out if he wins this election. I hope that he does because he would be a great president. Ron Paul….. The most fitted candidate for the presidential job.

Rivero Bruna,

Rick Perry what do we know about him? What are his issues? His purposes for America to be a better place? His ideas, opinions, and plans for U.S.A are well thought. His opinions on the following issues like gun control, health care, homeland security, Principles & Values ,war and peace, tax, immigration and ect are really elaborated.
For example what his thinks about foreign policy he says End aid to Pakistan; money only goes to allies! I agree. Money should go to allies and not to a country that made a terrorist act against us! Money should go to our friends people who help us and support us when we need it not to people who try to damage us!
Another issue is taxes as he says The federal reserve is at the root of a lot of our problems. So why should we hard worker civilians pay for it. As he also says I pushed TX to 2nd-lowest debt per capita in the US. In the case can you take a moment and ask yourself if he did that for Texas why can he do it for America.
And lest not forget about the issue I most strongly agree IMIGRATION. This is a strong and complicated topic to not only talk about but strongly thinks about it and consider it from his point of view. I mean what do we know about immigrants are they just simple so called “aliens” or are they hard working good people like any everyday hard working Americans? Do all illegal immigrants want to be illegal and hide out in the shadows or stand out and help this amazing country witch we call home? Most of us have defended from immigrant look back at your family tree and think about it. So after all aren’t we all alike? There is something to think about.
I agree with Rick Perry for the way that he thinks about the issue referring to immigrants. I was really captured by the way he said if you are not teaching a illegal immigrant child you are a healers person. Children are not illegal or here by choice! And I so strongly agree in that. A LOT of people ask him and doubt him on why hi gives full scholarships in Texas to illegal immigrants students. Well if all the people though like him tomorrow would be a better tomorrow. Now think about his plan and tell me if you don’t agree the way he thinks. You have approximately 25million illegal students now think a little. You have 25million people in the shadow you give them scholarships make them study they graduate ,get a carrier who does that benefit? the U.S think about it know you have 25million marines, or doctor or lawyers, cops people benefiting and protect the U.S .
Also he strongly supports the border watchers eclectic fence and security to stop the Cartel from coming in transporting drugs, gun, and even people. I strongly agree with him I also think that if there is a person who has the benefit of being here and is not using it right should get deported back to their country. There is bad people and good people. But not all illegal immigrants are bad we just come here looking for a better future for us and are families. And I know that because I myself am a immigrant. I came to this country looking for a better future for better chances of studying.
That CONCLUDES in MY POINT OF VIEW Rick Perry is the best choice.

I stand by Rick Santorum's beliefs because he wants what is best for the families of America and believes that they are the first economy. He wants to create a pro family environment for families, communities, and businessess. Rick wants to start making more jobs and using a smaller tax code. Another reason that I support Rick Santorum is because of his belief''s on Iran. He has recognized the potential threat because of radical Islamist s are to having nuclear weapons. He believes that experience over rules every thing as he refers to Barrack Obama. According to Rick Santorum Obama has taught us that having experience is where it counts. Rick Santorum believes that the core of American experience is the family and without strong families we can not have a strong nation. Rick Santorum believes that that America is a moral enterprise, but that foundation is quickly going away. As president, Rick Santorum wants to rebuild the foundation and he wants to lead the way on restoring traditional American values. Rick Sanctorum has a family and claims that he knows what a family needs and that he can provide for the families. This is one thing I do not back Rick Santorum because some families need more attention than others do because some families have special needs. Rick Santorum says he is committed to reviving our economy, restoring economic growth, and creating jobs in America again by unleashing innovation and entrepreneurship through lower and simpler taxes for American businesses, workers, and families. Also he will roll back job killing regulations, restrain our spending by living within our means, and unleash our domestic manufacturing and energy potential. These are most of the points that have me going for Rick Santorum in the presidential run.

A lot of politicians seem to have good ideas in store for the country, especially when their power is on the line, or they are fighting to obtain it. Most people get sucked into the theory of these glamorous ideas, but most don’t find out how they plan on achieving them. Knowing what the person is talking about and knowing that the person themselves knows what they are talking about is a key to helping out this nation. They all speak fancy words, and sometimes, people don’t know exactly what they mean or the meaning of the words they hear. But who actually means what they say, and who just cares about winning? This is the essential thing that you need to know when it comes to making as big of a decision as voting. I have researched all seven of the candidates, and I found that the one that I feel could possibly be the best in this election would probably be Ron Paul. I looked over all of the other candidates web pages and looked over the issues that they presented. Out of all of them, I felt that the one who had the most issues that I agreed with was in fact Ron Paul. Ron Paul feels that every human, even if they are not yet born from their mothers stomachs, should be given the chance for life. I most defiantly, absolutely agree with him. Every child once formed and able to be declared a child should become an American citizen and have the same rights and liberties as any one of us who is already born into this world. Some of the other issues that he discusses is the Second Amendment- he wants us to be able to keep the rights that were given to us and be allowed to exercise our freedom with this-, homeschooling, and immigration. He believes that homeschooling is as important as going to any other school, and should be taken as seriously. He believes that the parents should have the most control over their child’s lives. Paul also feels that Immigration isn’t being taken as seriously as it should, and that all immigrants should be removed, no matter the ties they have. Paul feels that by lowering taxes, it should slowly improve our economy and the lives of the American citizens. He wants to be the one to abolish income and death taxes, and be the one to shut off the lights of the IRS for good.

I AGREE with Mitt Romney. While Mr. Romney won by eight votes in the end, he failed to exceed his share of the vote from 2008. Iowans knew him very well, yet three quarters of voters kept looking for an alternative, moving from one disappointing conservative hope to another. Mr. Romney did well among older voters, moderates and those who said they were somewhat conservative, according to the entrance polls. But he did poorly among young people, tea party supporters and independents. The former Massachusetts governor has some major coalition maintenance to do if he wins the nomination.

Yet Mr. Romney continues to benefit from the failure of any of his competitors to consolidate the conservative vote. Ron Paul has collared the free-market libertarians and many right-leaning independents. He can't win the nomination, and he has probably reached his high-water vote total at 21%, but Mr. Paul can continue to take 10% or more of Mitt Romney's votes.

The former speaker is a double-edged sword for Mr. Santorum. Mr. Gingrich may help Mr. Santorum by targeting Mr. Romney. Mr. Romney's divide-and-conquer strategy will carry the day

The upcoming election is the most important election in America to date. This election will either signify that America is ready to become a socialized democracy like many European countries or signify that American citizens are willing to fight for their liberty and freedom and maintain an on average center-right American government. The results of the Republican Iowa Caucus didn’t surprise me, but they did disgust me. I personally cannot stand Mitt Romney, at all. He is too much of a flip-flopper with his unclear record; much like President Obama going into the 2008 elections. Rick Santorum is your ok Republican candidate, but he just is not very likely to win the election versus President Obama here in 2012. Of the remaining candidates, (my first choice would be Herman Cain but his campaign has been suspended) I support Ron Paul the most. I support Ron Paul because of his consistency with his platform and views. I am firm believer in liberty and I see Ron Paul as one of the most unbiased defenders of liberty in America. He is a supporter of the National Right to Work Act, elimination of the EPA, Sanctity of Life Act, the repeal of President Obama’s “landmark” healthcare bill, allowing purchase of health insurance across state lines, reverting back to a gold backed dollar, and the closing of the Federal Reserve. I support all of these views and I would probably even campaign for half of them, but I am by no means a die hard “Ron Paul-er.” I continue to disagree on many things with Ron Paul’s foreign policy. I do not agree with him that foreign terrorists should be tried in the public court system. I agree that we, somewhere down the line, appointed ourselves the world police and have determined ourselves to meddle with other countries’ affairs when we have no business and no right to interfere. At the same time, I can easily find middle ground on Ron Paul’s views that we bring all foreign troops back stateside and close all foreign military bases. I don’t believe we should close all foreign bases, but I do think, with the exception our major foreign military bases and bases with Special Operations Commands, that a lot of our bases overseas should be closed. I think Ron Paul is an adept leader because he was a captain in the Air Force, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Duke University, his ability to retain a level of integrity where he has never gone back on his policy. Not once has Ron Paul voted for a tax increase in his entire political career. These are my personal opinions. Those who understand and feel the background of my opinions, I hope you check out Ron Paul because he is a true defender on the American identity and liberty.
“Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
—Benjamin Franklin

Ron Paul, the future of America knows what we need. He stands for equality. One of the issues he talks about is immigration. I like his view on this because he believes that we should all be treated equally and that immigrants can be beneficial to America. Almost all of America is said to be made up of immigrants. Not only that but he also understands the true meaning of life. I understand that there's certain situations that a child may be unwanted but it is not right to deprive something of life. I like how he keeps to himself about his religion but fully embraces it. He respects the fact that people have different beliefs on religion. He also has a very strong family bond. I think that could get him through just about any hard struggle! He knows his place in America and I think he will stick to just that and not violate any rights not given to him. If he stays true to himself and his values, he will get America back to the ultimate starting point! Of course we need to be safe!, something that he focuses on. He said he would make securing out borders one of the top priorities we have. I think that's very important too. But I do like Obama and always will. He is a symbol of change and has created something better for America. Hopefully Obama will be elected President for another term. Which will mean greater changes to come.

Ron Paul is celebrating a victory as the result of winning the Iowa Caucus. I expected Ron Paul to win because he is the only name advertised the most, heard about the most and most talked about surrounding my classmates ;). I was not really into all of this politicalish stuff until recently. With me turning 18, a lot of these future laws will be affecting me and having the ability to vote, I can express my opinion. There are many reasons of why Ron Paul is my candidate of choice as of right now. One thing he plans to do is cut $1 trillion in spending during his first year of presidency, eliminating five cabinet departments and abolishing the Transportation Security Administration and letting the property owners to take responsibility of security. He is also against abortion like me too. He spent his whole career in the medical field so I am sure he gives his patients the best care. He is looking to repeal the ObamaCare thing and help give us good health insurance by providing tax credits for expenses and other things. To protect our country, a thing he will do is write a bill allowing pilots to carry firearms to protect the passengers to prevent future 9/11 attacks. I think that will help good. He will be a good president because he is known for a limited constitutional government, low taxes and free marketing and I think these are some of the things we need in order to return back to the better United States. He served in the military so he has background of the military life so he will understand how they feel. According to multiple interviews, he seems to be a very sweet and naive person who wants the very best for us. Yea buddy, power to the future people!

The candidate I chose was former senator Rick Santorum.Because senator santorum ad fought to maintin his fiscal sanity up in Washington. He served eight years in the senate armed services which he led the fights before 9/11. And e believes that to have a very strong economy we all must have astrong families. I also learned that he is tryiing to fix problems in America, like the economy, restoring economic growths, and etc. Santorum he also wants to lower taxes for workers and families. I feel that if rick santorum becomes president,he would do good. Because from my point-of-view he is basically trying to solve the most difficult problems we are having right now. And yes im still supporting Obama, because he is trying fix so many things right now, like trying to fix the economy, jobs, taxes, and etc. Also he brung home soldiers form Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hey it’s Kristopher Curry,
Ron Paul is a 10th-term Congressman from Lake Johnson, Texas, a member of the Republican Party, and a physician. In 1996, Paul returned to Congress hopeful he would be more effective since the Republicans took over both houses of Congress. His Republican primary opponent, Greg Laughlin, had support from leaders within the Republican Party, including House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Governor George W. Bush, but Paul won the primary by a large margin. While Paul votes against most spending bills, he has diverted funds that have been authorized by other bills into his own district. We must stop special interests from violating property rights and literally driving families from their homes, farms and ranches. The war in Iraq was sold to us with false information. The area is more dangerous now than when we entered it. We destroyed a regime hated by our direct enemies, the jihadists, and created thousands of new recruits for them. The right of an innocent, unborn child to life is at the heart of the American ideals of liberty. My professional and legislative record demonstrates my strong commitment to this pro-life principle. Upon losing his bid for the Senate in the 1984 GOP primary against Phil Gramm, and having chosen not to run for re-election, Paul left Congress and returned to full-time medical practice. Paul has been named one of the "50 Most Effective Members of Congress" by Congressional Quarterly. As one of six Republicans to vote against the Iraq War Resolution, Paul inspired the founding of a group called the National Peace Lobby Project to promote a resolution he and Oregon representative Peter DeFazio sponsored to repeal the war authorization in February 2003.

I think that Mitt Romney deserved to win they made a good choice I think this because he wants to one get rid of Obama’s health plan which is good because it is honestly hurting us because he thinks that all these cuts are good for us when there really not. Threes a lot of elderly people that can’t pay for their medical situations because of it. Also because he also speaks upon the fact that he wants to change and fix all the spots Obama is just not fixing such as the unemployment that we have in the untied states. Another thing that he stresses that needs to be fixed is the lack of security issues. The best thing that I would say that he points out is that America has gotten off track and we need to get back on track and we need to start getting back to the soul of America living by the values that were once established in us once ago “want to restore the principles that made America the hope of the earth," that was one of the statements that he expressed and basically he expresses his feelings upon freedom that we need in America. All in all I think that he is a very good canidient that deserved to win because he is taking into consideration that there is a lot of problems in America and they have to be fixed and he has great values to do so and this is why I picked him.

Although I don’t agree with many of the republicans if I had to choose my favorite republican I believe I would pick Mitt Romney. I chose him because even though he may not agree with a few of the bills that are passed he still supports them and he plays fair. I find this as a very good trait and because of this he got my vote. One of his good points is his views on education. Romney believes in the No Child Left Behind program started under the Bush administration. He also believes in increased funding of charter schools, school voucher program and that schools should be able to teach family values but not religion or prayer. He believes that teachers and parents should work together and really get involved when it comes to the students and child’s education and well-being. One of my favorite things that he supports is the campaign against drugs. He opposes legalization of recreational or medical marijuana. In addition he wants to add on mandatory sentences and higher penalty for repeat drunk driving. He even wants to start to combat the ruthless narco terrorists in Columbia. Another issue he supports is energy and oil. He supports that we should invest in new energy technologies to get us off of foreign oil and that the time for true energy and oil independence has come. He also feels that exporting carbon emissions to China is going to hurt those on the planet and the planet itself.

If I had to choose a candidate it would vote for Ron Paul. The reason why I would vote for him is because I like his ideas on Health Care, Taxes, and immigration. What I like about his Health Care plan is that he plans to provide tax credits and deductions for all medical expenses also if someone is harmed during a medical treatment he plans to make sure that they receive fair compensation. Another thing I like about his health care plan is that if a person has a terminal illness they are exempt from the employee portion of payroll taxes. The next thing I like is his plans for taxes. Ron Paul states “the American people should not have to pay for Washington’s reckless and out of control appetite for debt” and I think he is right on that, but that’s not just why I like his plan. The thing that interested me was when he stated that struggling college students would receive an immediate pay raise by eliminating taxes on tips. Being a sophomore I worrying about college and how much it will cost is really important because it won’t be long until I’m in college. Last but not least I like his views on immigration they are like GREAT !!!!!! So let me tell you his views. First he plans on enforcing border security. Then we will not provide amnesty to illegal immigrants, and abolish the welfare state. My most favorite one of the whole immigration plan is the end the birthright citizenship. That means if you are an illegal immigrant and your child is born here they will no longer be consider an American citizen. But this is the candidate I would choose IF I hadf to choose. BUUUUUTTT I STILL GO FOR OBAMA !!!  

Even though Mitt Romney...(ramen noodle haha)won the Iowa Caucus that was presented Tuesday night I believe that Newt Gingrich is an acceptable candidate for the 2012 presidency. Gingrich doesn’t just state what he’s going to do or what everyone else is doing. He’s planned out his steps of action to success to the T, making it more believable that he’s able to acomplish his goals set for our country. And thoroughly explains why. His plans for the 2013 tax increase were as followed, quickly destroying. Raising taxes is more money gained for government, less used for spending in our own economy. And to build jobs and the US status again, he believes by eliminating the capital gains tax, American entrepreneurs would be able to be more competitive against those in other countries. More money, money money spent right? And im sure it would assist in giving people jobs. Although his preferences surrounding Pro-Life and Religious views are foreign and even misunderstood by me, he appears to be an older man of life lived wisdom, who might have valuable answers to our countries problems.

Mitt Romney won the caucus and that’s how I expected it to play out. He is the only chance we have that would remove Obama from office. He is well liked among Americans and expected to receive the nomination. Though why he won by 8 votes is beyond me.
.
I am going with Romney now because I have looked into his platform and agree with what I know. He wants to get rid of the health plan, create jobs and fix the un-employment rate. He plans to restore America to its initial state and make this a government of the people by the people instead of a government of the people by the government.
.
America is in trouble and I’m going with Romney not because I’m a loyal supporter but because from Obama care to the bailouts I don’t agree with Obamas choices. He’s right about one thing however; it is time for a change. Mitt Romney being that change would maybe do some good.- maybe. The qualities that I like about Romney are that… he’s winning. I notice he seems to change his ideas a lot but I guess I like that he is an eloquent speaker seems to be a man of good moral character and is persuasive…
.
Really I think Ron Paul’s the better leader being that he sticks to his beliefs and doesn’t take two sides on every issue, does not bend his views to please voters I also like that he doesn’t give up last year apparently he stayed in the race till June even though he knew he’d lost. I like the underdogs that no one really expects anything from that continue to push forward. He came in third in Iowa only 3 percent behind Romney but researching him more I don’t think I’m ready for an America that has crack heads freely running around town armed with guns…
.
No drug laws no guns laws bad mix.
I don’t really know that agree with any of these candidates, let gays be gays if someone wants an abortion let them have it. I’m sure they have their reasons. Honestly why does it matter? Can we focus on what’s important war, trade, economy? Fix America, then these republicans can try to fix Americans….

Or leave them the alone and let them pursue happiness.
shooo I dont know what to make of these cadidates.

The Candidate running for President that I chose is Mitt Romney. Out of all the candidates that I researched, Mitt Romney captured my interest the best. Although I don’t like Romney’s health care idea I do like that he believes that abortion is wrong except in cases of incest, rape and to save the life of a mother. Romney has also expressed his belief that abortion should be an issue that is decided on the state level. I also like that he is a supporter of the military’s “don’t ask don’t tell policy.” Everyone is entitled to their own opinion which includes who and what they want to be. Stop judging people. I know you wouldn’t want to be judged either. It’s called respect, get a dictionary and look it up. Romney is also a supporter of the No Child Left Behind Program dealing with their education. I agree and think that it is very important that we kids have the education that we deserve. I strongly disagree with Mitt Romney’s support for President Obama’s decision to increase troops in Afghanistan. My dad has been to Iraq many times and my uncle just went to Afghanistan for new years. I may not know the real reason why we’re over there but what I do know is that there are hundreds of troops dying in Iraq and Afghanistan, why would you send more? I’m pretty sure no family, husband or wife wants to hear that their loved one died. I am positive of this because I wouldn’t want that one person to tell me that. I know that Mitt Romney or President Obama or anyone wouldn’t want that call either. I don’t think they realize about the lives at risk that they are increasing every day.

The candidate I chose is Rick Santorum. Not only do I think that he shares some of my views, but he shares the views of other people as well. Especially since he was in 2nd place for the lead over the other candidates at the Iowa Caucus, you could say he is well supported. In the caucus, he brought up many strong points, and also valid reasons to why he made those points. Some of his views that I share with him are:
o He doesn’t support gay marriage.
o He claims that he’s completely fine with “income inequality”.
o He supported the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy that the military once had until it was abolished. He argues that we do not need food stamps/government assistance because the United States’ obesity rates are way too high!
First of all, I can see why he doesn’t support gay marriage. No offense to gay/lesbians, but I believe that marriage is something that should only be between a man and a woman. I mean, what comes to your mind when you think of marriage? Second, income inequality seems fine to me as well. Some people work harder than others, so some people should get better wages than others. Third, I supported the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy. If you are in the military, what is your job? Your job is to defend the U.S. Nobody needs to know if you’re gay or not because that’s not objective when serving the Military. Lastly, I don’t think food stamps should be discontinued, but I do think that they should have it to where you’re mostly getting healthier foods with the stamps, rather than anything, because of obesity. Rick Santorum does share some of my views, but I would still go for President Obama.

the cananadite i chose for the republican party would be canadidate ron paul. the reason i have chosen him was because i believe in some of his ideas about what he wouls like to do for the United States such as one major thing, bringing jkobs back to America. i greatly stand behind this because that would greatly get us out of the current job situation that we have now with the unemployment rate. the unemployment rate is really setting America back and needs to be fixed immediatly! some of the other things that ron paul has in mind is that he wants to decrease in the number of drug laws. im not saying this because im about drugs or anything but because there are way more serious things going on in the world that could be more focused on as far as murders, terrorists, etc. these would be a better thing to focus on that a simple drug charge. even tho im not all for the replicans im mkre for the current president Mr. Baarack H. Obama because in my opinion the republicans for this years running arent at the countries best intrest. im sure they all would have things they could bring forth they just arent as prepared or qualified in my opinion.

Simmons,
I am a conservative of conviction, not of convenience. As president, I will take a wrecking ball to the Washington establishment and get government out of the way so we can get America working again."–Gov. Rick Perry Rick Perry will get America working again.

The conservative principles that have guided him as governor are the same principles that will guide him as president: Don’t spend all the money.
Cut taxes and regulation. And get government out of the way so the private sector can create jobs and renew the American economy.

Rick Perry has proven that conservative ideas really work. Under his leadership, Texas has gained more than one million jobs while the rest of the nation lost over two million jobs. His state represents 8% of America's population, but nearly 40% of America's job gains since June 2009.
i think he will help some parents that lost there job help find new ones.
help us get our econ many back in order. being our military home to stay.
It's time for a leader who will allow us to believe again – to believe that America's best days are ahead, that we are not consigned to a fate of high unemployment and economic despair, and that our place in the world can once again be secure with a policy of peace through strength.

That leader is Rick Perry. And the restoration of the American Dream begins today.
